Just a few things I've been working on

Happy May Day everyone! Today was beautiful and sunny...most of the day, and then the rain began again. Ah well, the flowers are blooming and that's all that matters:>) I have had such a hard time getting back into the swing of posting regularly again. I think I can be forgiven though, because I have been back at the sewing machine making these.....
Clothespin aprons! It's time to hang out the wash again and with the increased interest in saving money (running the dryer can be expensive!) and in being green (air drying, can you get any more green?) these little beauties make hanging out the wash easier and prettier.
I love this blue one with the handmade vintage embroidered panel. So sweet, and designed with gusseted pockets to hold lots of clothespins.
And another little black and white number for the kitchen. You can find these in my etsy shop right now! I have been so busy, going to sales and sewing. Lots to show, and more sales tomorrow! I'll do a post on all the goodies I've found tomorrow. I hope you all have a beautiful beginning of May. Isn't it just the best month of all?

  4. Hi Kathy...love the aprons...my mother used to have aprons that had the big pockets for storing clothespins...in this economy alot of things from our parents time is going to be coming back...Heck we were gone from home for 2 weeks and when my electric bill came it was $20. higher then the previous month....I still can't understand that one...

  9. Oh, my, Kathy Grace, You have been a busy girl. These aprons are just delightful ! I don't even have a clothes line, but Bill says he will put one up if I really want one. Maybe one of those that roll out and then roll back into that little ball thingy. Think I'll look for one on Ebay....THEN, I can get one of your clothespin aprons. :O)
Hope things are good in your world...

  16. Kathy, what happy memories these aprons are bringing me...I remember my mother wearing aprons like this on wash day...and you're so right -- with saving money, hanging the clothes on the line is the way to go...I haven't done that for years but I think it's high time to head back to "the way we were"...there was nothing wrong with it then...and the clothes just have that fantastic outdoors scent!!
