The only bit of fall decorating I have done so far has been to fill this old tool carrier with pumpkins and gourds from the farmers market. The gourds were 4/$1 and when I went up to pay, the lady said, "throw a few more in your bag". She must have been as happy to get rid of them as I was to get them so cheaply.
The front porch looks very autumnal now.
Back to homework.....

  1. The tool carrier is perfect! Love the way it looks like you just came from the garden with your daily 'pickings'.

  2. Looks great Kathy! I tried staining my cornucopia and the stain stayed taking and smelled bad....Good thing it only cost a dollar...I had to throw it out!

Found another one for a few dollars more that is already dark and looks more like the Pottery Barn one.

  10. Morning Kathy!

Just got back from a long weekend (sewing marathon) with a girlfriend in Amish country. We took a ride to an Amish fabric shop and every farm along the way was full of pumpkins and all types of gourds! So colorful and festive. I love your box of funky gourds...very autumnal. Enjoy the rest of your week!

  13. Hi,
I just read your post about Crossbill. She is adorable and full of personality! They take a break from egg laying a couple times a year. Don't worry, she'll start laying again after a while.

  22. Beautiful!!

    Your photos warm my heart.

I think you should consider offering your original hi-res for sale.. you could do so here on your blog. OR make notecards out of them and sell the notecards right here on your blog too. Just a thought. You are so talented... I am always amazed at what you do.

    Love,
    Kim
